Ready to move beyond strumming? Ready to shred? In this 5-week online class, Amy Kucharik teaches fingerstyle ukulele in easily digestible one-hour chunks to get you started strong.|
Expanding on Amy's popular "rhythmic fingerpicking" workshop, t's designed for students ranging from experienced beginners to intermediates who'd like to enhance their skills. Basic knowledge of essential chords (C, G, F, Am, D, Dm, E7, A) is required.
Learn to read tablature and explore a handful (no pun intended) of exercises for developing finger strength and agility, then dive into rhythmic fingerpicking, melodic fingerpicking, scales, travis picking and how picking can enhance a chord melody arrangement.
This online workshop series will take place via Zoom, so setting up a Zoom account is recommended. You'll need a good internet connection and a laptop or iPad (a smartphone works in a pinch)... and your own ukulele.
Classes will happen each Monday in August from 6-7pm EDT. Zoom login information will be emailed before the first class, so advance registration is required. Each session will build on the one before it, so attending the full series is recommended.
